Carpenter II
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, particularly in trim carpentry and installation, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role is essential for delivering high-quality construction and restoration services across various projects. The Carpenter II will work closely with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
Independent Project Work: Complete framing, cabinetry, and finishing tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with design specs.
Precision Carpentry: Execute complex installations including roofing, siding, framing, trim carpentry, and cabinetry, with precision.
Quality Control: Inspect work throughout each project phase to maintain high-quality craftsmanship standards.
Advanced Tool Usage: Operate power tools and hand tools skillfully and safely, following company protocols.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients as necessary to address their requests or questions.
Mentorship: Provide guidance to Carpenter I or laborers on basic tasks and safe tool operation as needed.
Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications
Experience: 5 years in carpentry, with residential or light commercial experience preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in carpentry tools, materials, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting.
Physical Strength and Dexterity: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and work at heights for long periods.
Leadership Qualities: Ability to assist in guiding entry-level carpenters and lead tasks in absence of a supervisor.
Problem-Solving Skills: Effective at identifying and resolving minor issues on-site.
Driver’s License and Transportation: Reliable transportation for site visits and valid license required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
